I designed the communication tools of this microtonal contemporary opera by Planetenexport, based on a novel by Jim Shepard and composed by Jeffrey Arlo Brown, which took place in Berlin at the end of July 2014.

“In Love & Hydrogen, tones move. And a moving tone takes on a life of its own: it passes the listener, resulting in the Doppler Effect, a physical phenomenon we perceive as a slight change in pitch. This idea, not new, is the basis of the entire composition, determining harmony, pulse, and timbre.”
